Seminars (2:00pm - 3:15pm)

One Hand In and One Hand Out

F1 - Chris & Maggie Parsons

We often wish we were better at reaching out to others with the good news of Jesus, but sometimes we lose other friendships as our sense of Christian community grows. This workshop can be taken into your local church with a mixture of teaching and discussion groups that show reaching IN doesn’t mean we can’t reach OUT to others!

Chris & Maggie are the Senior Pastors of West Suffolk Vineyard and currently serve as Area Leaders for East Anglia.

Leadership Transition

F3 - Flemming Mølhede

How do you have to change and adapt leadership when moving from 100 people in the church to 300? How can we, as leaders, help the church to overcome its potential growth barriers? Is it only with our back against the wall that we really need change? God has equipped us with everything we could ever need for making the church grow, but do we make proper use of it?

Flemming leads the Copenhagen Vineyard. He is married to Anne and has four children.

Associate Pastor's Forum

F4 - Tom & Helen Murphy

An opportunity for Associate Pastors to gather with each other, share experience and best practice and ask questions.

Kingdom Encounters

F5 - Sarah Jackman

In this seminar Sarah will share her experiences of Treasure Hunting, and we will head out into Nottingham to explore how we can be led by God’s voice in evangelistic encounters on the streets. This seminar is not just intended for those who think of themselves as evangelists, but for anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone and see God move in powerful ways throughout everyday life! This seminar will run into the second seminar slot.

Sarah is on the Pastoral Staff at Trent Vineyard, and oversees Healing on the Streets and helps run the Alpha Course.

The Place of the Spirit in Theology

Auditorium - Simon Ponsonby

Whilst in the last few decades there has been a remarkable explosion of interest in the “experience” of the power and gifting of God’s Spirit in the life of the church, there has remained a dearth of serious theological reflection on the person and work of the Spirit. In this seminar, we will consider the role of the Spirit in the various major strands within theology: God’s creation, revelation, redemption and consummation.

Seminars (3:45pm - 4:45pm)

Questions to Seasoned Leaders

F1 - Kate Woodward

Kate Woodward will be getting the inside story from John & Debby Wright, Steve & Juliet Barber and Rick & Lulu Williams about how they personally handle some of the fundamentals of leadership. Come and hear their insights on how, amongst other things, they work and minister together, find time for family and friends, get through difficult times and seek out wisdom and counsel.

Why Justice? 3

F3 - Harry Benson

Family breakdown will affect half of all children born today. To date, government family policy has focused on the management of decline. Harry’s policy and research work with the Centre for Social Justice and innovative relationship education programmes on the ground show that families can be strengthened. The trend can be reversed. Is government ready to hear and act? How can we respond either way?

Harry is the founder of Bristol Community Family Trust, which works in partnership with family organizations and the government.

How to do a Ministry Time or Kill Yourself Trying

F5 - Dave & Laura Smith

We have a passion to see the Holy Spirit change people’s lives, but have noticed that what we in the Vineyard would call “ministry times” are easy to forget or ignore as too risky or tricky. This seminar will be a practical way to encourage you to get the Holy Spirit moving in your church, life, friends and sphere of influence.

David and Laura lead Rayleigh Vineyard, Essex and oversee the new Essex and Kent Vineyard region.

Healing

Auditorium - Jamie & Linda Watters

Jamie and Linda’s journey is one of knowing that Jesus healed, before they knew that He saved. In this workshop they will share a little of that journey, addressing the awkward questions such as: “How do you maintain a Kingdom focus when people we love aren’t healed?”, “What are healing and miracles for?” and “What are the barriers to experiencing more of the Kingdom now?”

Jamie and Linda lead the Glasgow Westend Vineyard.

Distinctives of the Vineyard: Come Holy Spirit...

Y7 - Andy Smith

With a deep conviction of the importance of this distinctive of the Vineyard, highlighted by John Mumford at last year’s NLC: Come Holy Spirit, Andy will lead the discussion at this practical workshop on how Vineyard churches across the nation can press into all the Lord has called us to.

Andy leads the Belfast City Vineyard.
